I finally got permission to work one day a week from home, which leaves me with an extra hour this morning, since I don’t have to drive…
So anyway, I was reading back a couple of posts, and I wanted to give an update on the brown boots. I did actually find a pair of brown boots the morning of the thing that I was going to. Jay and I were having lunch with his parents, and on the way home I made him stop at Filene’s Basement because if I didn’t have boots, I would at least need new hose, you know? But while we were there, I just wanted to check their boot selection, and they had the perfect pair. OK, not 100% perfect, since they are technically a size larger than I would normally wear, which means that tripping is a very real possibility and my feet look bigger than they actually are. But. They zip up over my gigantic calves. And they are awesome. They are leather all the way up, not that cheap stretchy vinyl that so many calf-high boots have. The manufacturer’s prices was $300, and the Filene’s Basement prices was $189, but they were on clearance for 75% off, so I paid just FIFTY DOLLARS for them, ohmygodhyperventilating.
