- The opening act at the Grammy’s this weekend was a duet between Elton John and Lady Gaga.The act was big hit, but drag queens across the country worried about the widespread sequins shortage sure to follow.(this is kind of a rip-off of a joke Letterman did regarding Rush Limbaugh, Kirstie Allie and a cake shortage. oh well.)
- Since the Grammys were on CBS, a number of awards were presented by stars from CBS television shows, including The Mentalist and NCIS: Los Angeles. There were additional CBS stars slated to.present but they were turned away at the door because nobody has actually seen their shows.
- The show also featured a 3-d tribute to Michael Jackson.
- President Obama unveiled his $3.8 billion budget today. In order to prevent partisan bickering over the plan, the president’s budget calls for 1.9 billion Snickers bars.
