OMG! We found someone to buy the house!!!! There aren’t enough exclamation points to express how grateful I am for this development. Could our 18 month real estate purgatory finally be coming to a close? But! (What is the opposite of an exclamation point?) Our buyer is having a little trouble producing the paperwork to verify her income. :-( I guess that is the best way to capture my feelings about that. Any day now, maybe. We are supposed to close in less than a month. Less than 3 weeks actually.

I should probably be packing, but if I pack up all our shit and the whole thing falls through, I will probably die. or whatever…

We also found a house to buy! This is also not as straightforward as it should be, since we found out on Friday that the furnace isn’t operational. Who needs a furnace, right? It’s not like it gets that cold here… And really, the furnace works; it’s just the ventilation that’s the problem. Maybe a little carbon monoxide would toughen me up.

So today we are waiting to hear back from the homeowner. Hopefully he will agree to have the furnace fixed. If not, we will be homeless in a few weeks. Or, possibly, back to where we started…
